It’s time for the next part of my story—how a **math-loving, stock market-watching, spreadsheet-building** me ended up here, teaching Tagalog!

In **2017**, I was deep into **investing**, analyzing stock trends in both the U.S. and the Philippines. I even blogged about it and joined forums with fellow Filipinos. Numbers and data made sense to me, and I loved every bit of it.

But in **2018**, life took an unexpected turn. My father-in-law had major heart surgery, and my mother-in-law was battling dementia. I put my career search on hold to help care for them while Bruce worked. The stock market no longer held my attention, and out of boredom, I recorded a fun little video about the Tagalog word *masipag*—a spontaneous moment that would unknowingly lead me to my true calling.

By **2019**, I started making more Tagalog video tutorials, mainly to help Bruce, but also to reach others who wanted to learn. I gained some traction but still struggled to balance family, career, and my worries about my aging parents back home.

Then came **2020**—the pandemic changed everything. With the world shifting online, I realized that teaching Tagalog virtually **wasn’t just possible—it was my best path forward.**

In **2021**, I officially registered **Aralin World LLC** and took writing more seriously while coaching students 1-on-1\. I built lesson plans on Moodle Cloud, though the platform was too technical for mass accessibility.

**And now?** I want to reach more learners, share my creativity through workbooks, and provide resources that don’t require my real-time presence. That’s why I built **AralinWorld.com**—a space optimized for learning and growth.

🚀 **What’s next?** More video tutorials, more learning materials, and a **community that grows together.**

So, **go ahead and explore my website**! And if you want to **fast-track your Tagalog fluency**, I still have **2 spots open for personalized coaching.** [Book an appointment](https://www.aralinworld.com/book-an-appointment/) with me and let us talk.

Maraming salamat, and I can’t wait to help you on your journey! 💛
